The objective of Brain Market Sentiment (BMS) Indicator is to give a score on the general mood of the market by automatically selecting and analysing thousands of news from most popular financial media.

  • A subset of relevant news is selected using a customized dictionary and a specific combination of words expressing fear or opportunity.
  • All relevant news are clustered by topic in order to keep news repetition into account.
  • A sentiment is assigned to each topic.
  • The BMS provides an aggregate score for the news topic for the current day and it varies between 0 and 100.
  • An intraday evolution of the indicator is also available
